So very happy

Some of you know that we had Aidyn evaluated for ADHD by the doctor on Wednesday. His kindergarten teacher had suggested we do it & after a lot of thought, I decided to have it done. The dr & nurse asked a bunch of questions of me & Aidyn and it was decided he does have it.

They put him on concerta which is a time release pill similar to Ritalin. Yesterday was the first day & OMG he was a new kid! He was so good and well behaved, I almost did not know what to do with myself, lol No fights, arguing, yelling or swearing all day long!!!

The only bad part is the medicine wears off at after about 12 hours so he was back to his normal naughty self around 9pm. Another problem is that it did not work as well today. He had a bunch of "naughty spells" and was fighting with Madi & I all morning. Finally he started being better & said that he still had some naughties stuck to his nose hairs but he punched them out so he would be good from now on, LMAO

I titled my post "So Very Happy" for 2 reason. One is for the reasons I listed above about Aidyn. We are finally getting things under control with him & he will have a much easier time in school than last year. (well cross your fingers thats the case, hehe)

The 2nd reason is for the new page I did of Madi. I asked her to list all the things that make her happy & below is what she came up with. If you are having a hard time reading it in the smaller version, you can click on it & it will open up much bigger.

The page was created from a new designer I found this morning. It was her very first kit & I am totally impressed with how well she did! This kit is called "Pink Chocolate" and was created by Jessica Edwards. You can find the kit by going to her website at http://mydigiscrapblog.blogspot.com/

Hi Stormie! Just wanted to hop over and say THANKS for the sweet comment you left on my blog!

Your blog is great! Love your playlist. And your family is beautiful!!

BTW - my oldest son has ADHD & was diagnosed when he was half-way thru kindergarten. He's taking Focalin (similar to Ritalin) and it's time release too. It makes a huge difference. My son repeated kindergarten and had an amazing year! He's 10 now and still taking it. You will notice a big improvement, especially if that's the right med for him. Good Luck!!
