1st day of school

Today is the 1st day of school for the kids. They were both very excited but a little nervous too. Aidyn is worried about being at school all day & not getting to see me very much. But he is also excited to meet new friends & play at the "big" playground.

Madi was nervous because she is now in the multi-age class which means she will be with 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th graders in the same class. I know it will be great for her because instead of being stuck doing 3rd grade work, they will tailor her education to whatever is best for her. I think that is awesome because last year she ended 2nd grade reading on a 6th grade level and was doing math at a 4th grade level. I am kind of anxious to see what kind of work she comes home with because there is more homework in that class. However they get to do a LOT more field trips & their 1st one is on Monday.
