OMG if there is an award for being a horrible mom, I would definitely get it today! This morning right before it was time to leave for school, Aidyn told me his tummy hurt. I brushed it off thinking he was just trying to stay home & skip school and sent him on his way.
Well around 9;30 this morning the school called saying I needed to come get Aidyn right away. My poor little boy had thrown up in his classroom & all over himself! I feel so bad that I made him go and did not listen when he said he was sick.
Not only that, but he has also been running a high fever all day. I was reluctant to give him Motrin but once it hit the 103 mark, I felt I had no other choice. Besides I would rather have him throw up than keep suffering from such a high fever.
What is so frustrating is that this happens to him EVERY year! Although it usually does not include the vomiting part, the high fever and breathing issues have been occurring on a regular basis ever since he got the f*$k%ng 5th disease! Yeah I kind of swore but damn it,(yup another semi "bad" word but I am really angry & if you do not like it, stop reading) the stupid "disease" really messed him...bad. So much for it being just another common childhood illness that has no lasting effects!
Anyways, I will not be giving him his antibiotic, steroids, singular, or cough medicine tonight in hopes all the medicine is what made him throw up. Unfortunately that means he will have more breathing issues tomorrow! The poor kid cannot ever seem to get a break in life.
If you all could cross your fingers, rub your magic genie lamp, and pull out your four leaf clovers and lucky rabbits foot and wish that Aidyn would get better, it would be awesome!
All kidding aside I actually do believe in the power of prayer so any and all prayers are appreciated no matter what your religion is.
