I love me some Rockstar!

Thank goodness for Rockstars! That is an energy drink for those of you who do not know. I am so very tired today & have been up since 4:00am. Aidyn woke me up because he was having a hard time breathing (thanks to the wonderful Utah air) I had to give him a breathing treatment which always gives him energy thus ensuring he would be wide awake & not go back to sleep.

Lucky for me, I was able to squeak out a tiny bit more sleep in the form of a few 5 or 10 minute naps, but he never went back to bed. While I laid on the couch pretending to be asleep every time he talked to me, he played his DS. Here is a few of the things I remember him saying to me...

"mom 15 plus 30 is 45 right?"

" today is Feb 2nd right? That means I get a new spot in the classroom because we change every month"

"when I grow up I want to be in the army even though dad says I can't. If I do I can work with weapons all the time, and not just play ones"

"Do real weapons all come with orange on the ends like mine?"

"ask me what 50 plus 25 is. Ok since you aren't going to answer it is 75. Wanna know how I know this? Because if I have 2 quarters which is $.50 and get one more it is $.75"

Once 6:30 rolled around, he could not wait any longer & made me get up. Hopefully this means he will go to bed really early.


On another note, what a weekend I had! I had big plans to do lots of homework & catch up on all the housework but unfortunately that did not happen. I ended up getting the cold Paul had & the stomach bug the kids had...all at once! I could barely get off the couch the entire weekend but thankfully I feel much better today. Good thing too because the house is a pig sty & not only do I need to clean it, but I also have lots of homework to finish before tomorrow night.



I still have pictures to share however the ones from Saturday & Sunday were taken by the kids. I did not feel like it so they volunteered. After going through all the weird ones they took, I picked the 2 best ones which just so happen to both be of the cats, lol

#30 Aidyn was supposed to be going to sleep & when I came in to tuck him in, he was waiting to ambush me, lol

#31 Here is the picture Aidyn took. It is his cat Lilly watching the bearded dragon. The cats always try break into the cage and even though there is no possible way, they never give up

#32 Madi took this one. It is of Lilly & Belle sitting on top of the cage. They love sitting next to the heat lamp and at any given moment, there is usually at least one cat up there.

Ever since Madi saw her cousin Kayla & her friends wearing Uggs, she has wanted a pair. I told her there is no way I am spending $150 on a pair of boots for a 9 year old, but especially since her feet are still growing! Her reply to that was we can always "eBay" them when they no longer fit, lol

(since when did words like eBay & google become verbs? Madi uses both all the time)

Because she did need new boots (her class is going on a field trip to snow shoe tomorrow) we compromised on a "Ugg-like" pair from walmart. I will gladly pay $12 v. $150
