Aidyn's ongoing medical saga continues

Last week while outside for a fire drill Aidyn got stung by a bee on his forehead. I guess it swelled up really big & he said his neck was tight & he had a very hard time breathing. His teacher was able to get the stinger out & luckily his breathing returned to normal. However they were getting ready to call me because for a few minutes it was very bad for him.

Last night we took him to the doctor & yes of course he is allergic to bees. Not just a little allergic either is deathly allergic & from now on has to have an epipen with him at all times. The Dr prescribed 5 so he could have 1 at school, 1 in his backpack (in case he gets stung coming or going to school), 1 in my purse, 1 in the car & 1 at home.

I had to teach him how to use it & thankfully they came with a practice one so now he's ready to use it. Paul & I also know how & Madi is prepared as well in case he cannot do it himself. Hopefully he will never have to but it is better to be safe than sorry. Especially if he can die if he gets stung again.
