I want to wish everyone a safe & happy Easter! We do not have much planned for tomorrow . The kids of course will have their baskets & I am making a big dinner but it will def not be a traditional Easter dinner. I am making homemade lasagna. Even the sauce is from scratch & it is my specialty. I am going to brag here a little bit & say that my lasagna is so good & everyone I make it for ask for the recipe. Of course I never give it out because it is a "secret" lol Actually I am not sure i could even give it to anyone because I never measure but just throw stuff together. If I had to say the secret ingredient is fennel seeds in the sauce & letting it simmer for at least 3 hours.
On another note, the kids had a blast doing the local egg hunts today. We went another town today for theirs at 9am. They had 4 diff age groups & started each field at a different time so it was not too crazy. Each field had over 5,000 eggs with no limit on how many eggs the kids could get. Then right after we headed over to our town for its local egg hunt which started at 10am. They had a limit of 8 eggs & it was super crowded. The kids did not win any big prizes but still had lots of fun.
I will let you all know how tomorrow goes. I am sure I will be busy dealing with Aidyn and the HUGE sugar buzz he will get after all his candy, lol
