My poor baby boy!

Today the kids were a little late coming home from school so I decided to wait for them. I thought I heard Aidyn cry but figured it was too far away & I should quit being a worry wort.

About 2 minutes later I get a call from the police saying my son has been in an accident & I needed to come to the cross walk right away. I started running but ran into my friend first. She gave me a ride there (its about 2 blocks away) and when we pulled up all I see is 2 cops standing over my son who is hurt really bad!

The first thing I think is he got hit by a car but he crashed on his scooter & scrapped up his face really really really bad! Basically the whole left side is one big bloody mess & both lips were HUGE. Paul was in the shower & I could not get ahold of him but I kept trying.

The cop said that Aidyn HAD to go to the dr to get checked out & if Paul did not get there within 2 minutes, they were calling an ambulance. I am not kidding you, I started to have a panic attack! I was trying to remain calm but I could not even answer the cops questions. Thankfully Madi was there & she was able to answer everything.

We took him to the dr who took one look at him & said he needed to go to the ER because he had a pretty bad head injury. The ER did a CT scan which came back normal but he does have a concusion. He needs a few stitches in his lip but the dr did not want to tramatize him any more & said it would heal on its own. Aidyn will also be loosing his top 2 front teeth & right not they are hanging on by a thread.

Besides the facial injuries he also has scraps all up & down his hands & both arms. The poor kid looks horrible & I feel so bad for him!. I am just thankful it was not too serious & the cop was there to help him.

Oh the cop actually came to our house a little while ago to check on him! He wanted to make sure Aidyn was ok. How nice was that?

Ohhh poor boy! His mouth looks like it really got the brunt of it. The scratches on his face don't look tooo horrible (well as bad as it could have been). I guess we can all be thankful it was a scooter accident rather than being hit by a car!

Happy Birthday Madison!

We are comming up north for the holiday. We had planned to go to the zoo, but apparently it's going to be too wet, so we are going to the aquarium and then up to the museum of natural history at the U of U (it's free tomorrow).

PS we'll be at the aquarium about 10:00 am when it opens hint hint :)
