Last night was the kids back to school night which the school has so the parents can visit the classrooms & listen to a 20 minute speech from the teacher. I went to Aidyn's class first & I am really liking his teacher. She is very young (this is only her 2nd year teaching...ever) and she is full of excitement & very eager to teach. She said that AJ (that is what they call him at school now because there is 4 other kids who have names that rhyme with his, lol) does very well in everything except he has the tendency to talk when they are learning on the carpet. Thankfully not to the extent of last year (he was in trouble EVERY day for talking) and this teach seems to have more patience.

His teacher needed help with field trips & class parties & no one was really signing up to help, so I signed up for everything. I also volunteered to help out in his class every day from 10:30-11:30 because the class needs help with the reading groups. Not sure how long that will last but I will be home all day anyway so it is not a big deal.

Madi's class is awesome & I cannot say that enough! lol They already have their first project which is to do a time line & list an event for each year of their lives. They have to graph it all out, describe the event & show a picture of it. If they do not have a picture they can draw something, cut out a magazine pic or even use a sticker. She has until Oct. 15th to finish it but I am sure she will be done in the next few days. She likes to do all her homework right away so she does not forget or get swamped the night before.

Oh I also found out that part of her class requirements are that she needs to be a peer tutor for a younger class. She wants to help in a 1st grade class but her teacher suggested she help out her 2nd grade teacher. She of course if VERY excited about that & has decided she wants to be a teacher now. I asked if she was going to change her previous dream jobs but she said no, she wants to do it all, lol. That means she will be a scientist & cure AIDS, be an artist, have her own band, teach & work in the food service industry. Busy little girl, LMAO

Not much going on for me today. It is a bad allergy day so right now my eyes are all red, puffy, watery & super swollen so I am wearing my lovely glasses. I am sure I am such a hottie right now with my nasty oozing eyes, lol. Aidyn is also having a hard time with allergies & is complaining of a sore throat. He said he was sick & I did not believe him until I took his temp which was pretty high. So today it is just the 2 of us handing out.

I love sharing pics, especially since all of our family is far away so I will add another new one. The other day Paul & AJ where sitting on the couch reading their game magazines & I could not resist snapping a pic. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?
