Kite Festival

On Saturday we went to our towns wind festival. They recently put in a wind farm & had a celebration for it. There was a lot of cool things to do & see. Everything from HUGE kites being flown from the back of jet skis or ATVs, make your own kites, kite garden, and lots of booths that had environmental things.

One of the other things they were celebrating was we FINALLY have a recycling program! Can you believe they did not have one way before? I mean come on, every town should have one or at least some place you can bring your stuff. Good thing is our town has it, bad news is the apartment complex does not have one yet. Of course they do not want to pay to sign up for the curb side pick up but I am working on it.

Here are a few of the pics I took. I still want to scrap them but with my laptop still not working, I can only use the desktop & all of my scraping stuff is not one here.

the kids making the "kites" they had to offer

These next few pics are from the kite garden. They was some pretty cool ones

They had a jet ski that was pulling big kites in the reservoir
The kites up in the air

These are HUGE fish being flown from the back of an ATV
This one was prob the coolest one & the one of the biggest. It was over 150 feet long
another view of it so you can see get a better idea of how big it really was.
